Mannnn. First year LPN student I’m trying not to give up so bad.. I’m sitting here trying to study, but nothing is sticking. It’s like I’m reading the words over and over, and they just disappear the second I look away. I can’t remember anything, no matter how hard I try, and it’s honestly starting to make me feel defeated. I keep questioning myself, wondering if I even belong here, because it feels like my mind just won’t cooperate with me. I really think I wasn’t ready to start this when I did. Nursing school isn’t just hard—it drains you physically, emotionally, and mentally until you feel like you’re breaking apart. And when you don’t understand something the first time, it’s so frustrating it almost hurts. It makes you feel behind, like everyone else is getting it except you, and that feeling just keeps building up inside. Having ADHD on top of all of this makes it even harder. I’m already fighting to focus, already struggling to keep my thoughts from drifting, and now I’m expected to perform at such a high level. My mental health hasn’t been the best either, and deep down I know I should’ve tried to fix that before starting… but life doesn’t really give you the perfect moment to be ready. It just throws you in, and now I’m here trying not to drown. But I’m working on my accommodations I be feeling so dumb cause it takes time for me to learn it I have to read it abt 5-6 times 🥺
