I understand both sides, but when you actually watch the show and see more clips it makes more sense. I mean, they liked each other, yes, but it was never going to evolve into anything more than the affection that youth, beauty, and good manners and humor usually brings. They were in different worlds, yes, but it wasn’t just social class or money that led to Diana’s dislike for conversation with him. Jerry never had a proper education. He spent his childhood working to provide for his family. Therefore, he couldn’t gather and compose the same complex thoughts and opinions that Diana could about the same topics. Whenever she talked to him about Frankenstein or any other matter, she’d try to have a deep analysis and conversation but he couldn’t do the same and mostly just stuck with things like ‘I think the monster is rlly scary…’ or smth along those lines. It wasn’t exactly his social class that Diana didn’t like. It’s the fact that he isn’t on the same intellectual level as she is. They just weren’t meant to be.

Diana was bad with Jerry, she was selfish. I have been Diana, so I also understand her, a 15-16 year old... it happens. She was wrong, but I still love her. She was very human, made mistakes, I wish it could've been more clear that she understood she was in the wrong, but I still love her.
