I love this. In my D&D game, one of the PCs has been seeing doubles of herself all throughout the multiverse, but they’re not exactly the same as her. Just lookalikes. A person in a market here… an NPC thinking they met the PC at an event the PC never attended…a mural depicting the PC on a world they never visited… great fun!

what about a curse where denying a fact makes Reality adapt to it slowly and drags a whole Village slowly back in time a little bit every time so subtle that the changes can be explained and or ignored until it's too late? how would you build that storyline and also gaslight the reader as well as the protagonist
