I remember seeing a picture of my grandparents house in an estate agents window. That was a gut wrenching feeling. My grandad was born in the house.. it's known nothing but our family history. The house had housed 5 generations. Sunday dinners, Christmases, birthdays.. It was the family hub. Then my brother bought it. He bought it to raise his own family in. He said its the only place to feel like home.

I'm crying, this felt so bittersweet, the photographs filled with laughter and love to the empty house just filled with nostalgia. Some times you just wish time stood still.

I bought my grandparents house from the our family (literally grew up with them while my mum worked hard as a shift nurse) and tastefully modernised it by hand myself, I know both of them are looking down proud of the job I did, and now I get to live in the house I spent so much of my childhood in, nearly bankrupted me at the time but its the best decision I've ever made 🥹
