People have already normalized something like Amazon, but it’s absolutely insane. For the same price as my local grocery store I can just order something and have it arrive between 4 and 8 am next day.

The average person has access to more variety of food than literal kings have throughout history. Often within a 5 min drive. A lot of that is thanks to our market economy.

That’s the right answer to this question. 3. Tech. 4. Comparing 2020 to 1910 is NOT a fair comparison, this said 10 years ago in 2016 not 100 years ago. While tech has gotten better by a lot in the past 10 years, we still would have dealt with COVID much better than the Spanish flu if it happened 4 years earlier. 5. Life expectancy goes up because of better technology for keeping people alive. 6. This one is incorrect. Streaming services have been fractured in the past 10 years where it is impossible to find what platform a show is one. But then all and you have a $90/m bill no one can pay for as the K shaped economy since Covid has hurt the working class. 7. Pollution levels are decking in only first world countries. Those that are still developing are polluting more than enough to make up for it. 8. Many national and state parks have had their land violated in the past 10 years. More is good, but we have to protect what we have. 9. Yes, but the newest model of vehicle isn’t available to most people. 10. True. Tech has made life easier in the past 10 years, that’s reflected in income.

kids today need to go watch TV shows like raymond and king of queens to see how much quality of life has improved, I watched an episode yesterday where they literally had a party bc one guy bought a new 30in tv it was a huge deal

I would give all the good things you just outlined for a fair and reasonable entry point from median wages into a starter home in desirable coastal states and regions. It’s unlikely we’ll get that within 20 years

I was just thinking about how much better dishwashers have become. They used to be so loud we only ran it when we weren’t near the kitchen. They didn’t clean super well. Now they’re so quiet they have a light just to tell you it’s actually running and they clean better too!

One huge improvement that happened in the last ten years: Electric cars are a reality now! And they're not just exotic toys that the super rich trot out every now and then just to show off. For the first time, there's the possibility of a majority electric vehicle fleet in my lifetime, and I couldn't be more thrilled.
