@history.archives: The Incredible Sound of the German Tiger I. The Tiger I was Germany's most feared heavy tank of the Second World War. Introduced in 1942, it carried the devastating 88 mm KwK 36 gun, capable of destroying many Allied tanks at long range. Its thick armour made it incredibly difficult to penetrate from the front. However, the Tiger had major drawbacks. It was extremely expensive, mechanically unreliable, consumed huge amounts of fuel, and only around 1,350 were ever built. dommage que les pièces du tigre coûtais cher et qu'il n'était pas opérationnel dès le début de la guerre sinon l'issu se serait passer autrement. c'est à cause de ce char qu'on appelé les sherman les torches. car un obus de 88 le sherman explosé et brûler immédiatement avec les occupants dedans
