As a Dermatology MA, 23 is sooo young. Glad you caught it early! Keep those boys covered as we get roughly 80% of the damage to our skin in the first 20 years! Stay safe, wear SPF😁

My Granny died from melanoma at the age of 71 in 1997. Cover up outside, wear sunscreen, and get checked early.

Love this! Was diagnosed with melanoma at 23 on my foot and had to have surgery that prevented me from really being able to do anything on my feet for 6 weeks. Luckily, it was technically stage 0 so I went through the minimal aspects of it all. Currently 26, still have to deal with seeing my oncologist, derm & just the health anxiety from it all! Thankful for an early diagnosis & can’t emphasize skin protection enough ❤️

I was diagnosed the same year with HPV related throat cancer. I had intense chemo/radiation with a feeding tube because nothing went down my throat for 6 months. I’m 63 now 10 years out. Blessings from Atlanta Georgia 🍑

Thank you Hailey! I have a yearly (it’s been a few since the last one) in September and have one I’m worried about that looks JUST like that. I’m a nurse so my go to is to brush it off but now I’m going to call Monday to try to move it up!
