Urgent Appeal to the International Community
We urgently call upon the international media, the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and all people of conscience around the world to take immediate notice of the situation in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (Azad Jammu & Kashmir).
According to the protesters, the sit-in has been ongoing for the past 28 days and is approaching one month. They also state that a voluntary shutter-down strike is being observed across Azad Jammu & Kashmir in support of the movement.

The protesters also state that essential supplies, including food, medicine, and other basic necessities, have been significantly disrupted, affecting civilians, including children, who are facing serious hardships.
The protesters further allege that Pakistani security forces used force against peaceful demonstrators, resulting in deaths and injuries, and causing serious violations of fundamental human rights. They are calling for an independent, impartial international investigation into these allegations in order to establish the facts and ensure accountability.
We are engaged in a peaceful struggle for our basic constitutional and human rights. We demand the protection of civilian lives and property, respect for the right to peaceful protest and freedom of expression, and transparent investigations into all reported incidents.
We also urge the international community to review the 38-point Charter of Demands presented by the Jammu & Kashmir Awami Action Committee, which includes key issues such as affordable electricity, access to essential goods, healthcare, education, employment, clean water, infrastructure development, transparency, accountability, and the rights of local people over their resources.
