@dirtbagrunner: Airstream Renovation Part 5!✨ Building the cabinets turned into the most time consuming part of the build for Collin since nothing on an airstream is square, all the dimensions throughout the trailer change, which means every single cut you make has to be customized and measured specifically for that place on the trailer. The only thing he was able to use templates for from the original build was the bathroom walls! Every other cut was measure for that exact spot in the trailer. If you talk to anyone who’s restored an airstream, they’ll tell you- it’s a character building task and this is one of the main reasons 😂 but we survived! I’m so excited for you to start seeing the design scheme we ended up going with, I’ll talk more about it in the next few videos but after going back and forth for a long time, we decided to design the trailer in a very neutral, timeless manner- we wanted it to last for as many years as possible and also wanted nature to feel like the focal point, not the inside of the trailer.
