if there's something that will put people on the right track is the understanding of covenants in the the bible,majority of believers started their Christianity at the back of the cross(old covenant).So enforcing Malachi 3:8-11 is exposing ourselves to the curse of the law!

1 Corinthians 9 settles this argument of war against Tithe. Read 1 Corinthians 9:7 - 14. The fact that the teaching of the subject of Tithes has been abused doesn't mean that it's wrong.When the teaching of Tithe is taught appropriately,it will be right.Our God is a God of order. 1 Corinthians 14:40.

Another classic proof is that, the apostles never endorsed tithing in the early church;not once not anywhere in their epistle. I always say that, if you want to check if the doctrine is right, maybe you're not sure about something, check with the apostles.Eph 2:20 if the apostles are silent about something,e.g tithe, don't be loud about it.
