I’d go further and say romantic love shouldn’t be considered a prerequisite for a happy life. Society acts like it is and people take rejection and being alone so personally because they interpret it as proof that they’ve failed or are unworthy. There is no shame in being alone and no shame in not being chosen. You have to live with yourself regardless, so it’s important to learn to be okay with who you are, even if the connection you want never materializes. People get hung up on the idea that someone should date them, as if it is proof of something, but that just isn’t how life works.

i feel the same way. it doesn’t really matter the reasoning behind the rejection, you just have to accept that & move on. i don’t believe in tryna force anybody to give me a chance just bc they may need to examine why they don’t want to. i’m not doing all that shit lol. we’re just not meant to be & imma leave it at that.
