This is a great thing to add in the contract! I’ve also added that they can’t AI remix my clips or put my image into any AI remixing machines/platforms, nor can the raw or edited products be gifted or sold.

Yeaaaah, this is why I don’t like working with brands anymore. The amount of times things like this have happened to me in the past. Brands will try to take advantage every chance they can. Of course, there are good brands, but in my experience many will try to take advantage

I always ask to see the brief before signing. I also have a manager. While it sucks to give away 20%, it’s worth it to me to not stress about this kind of thing. Some brands are indeed very sneaky!

Honestly, the first red flag was them giving a lot of pushback for your rate. Most of the time, the experience never gets better cus they’ll always try to get more work out of you. I’m only going back & forth for like two emails. If there’s no agreement after that, they can have a great day lol
