They have a ton of people invited. They have to stay somewhere where there’s enough hotel space. Also, New York City is empty on Fourth of July weekend. It is also a city where you can apply for permits to shut down streets, which makes it easier for the guests. So it seems like it doesn’t make sense but when you dig a little deeper, it’s one of only a few places they could do it safely and securely.
