I haven’t seen much action on my CV or Resume, I feel like I can’t pass ATS 🤦♂️

This is so ridiculous. We’re supposed to not use AI while the people hiring are using AI to filter through resumes?

Claude actually integrates with job boards now, tailors your resume, and submits.

I’ve made it a practice to never prompt ChatGPT without first giving it my version of resume, bullet, text, answer. I also made it a practice never to copy and paste from ChatGPT — typing it out myself gives me the opportunity to question the output, put things in my own voice, improve upon what I’m given. ChatGPT is my space to test my hypothesis and have dialog about what is the most effective and why…it isn’t a shortcut.

The issue is the ATS that won’t accept a values oriented resume if it doesn’t have all the keywords in it.

I asked AI to proof read and ensure my resume was appealing, but all of the information on my resume is ALL me and I love it. It makes me proud of what I do and I know they say “tweak it to each application” and I could be shooting myself in the foot, but I’ve only applied to jobs that I sincerely believe my resume could stand on its own with my accomplishments. Thanks for the tips! 🤍

Sidenote: I am loving your corky style choices. I would never have thought to pair the pink and blue together like that! You’re always so stylish but professional and I love it.

Interesting. I’m sure that resumes for any career probably looked pretty similar even before the advent of AI. I agree most don’t know how to use or prompt it correctly. Using AI is not much different from handing it to a smart friend to proofread. Proofreading is key. As long as nothing is made up and it is factual it really shouldn’t matter tbh.

I use AI to compare my resume to the actual job description and have it give me feedback on any gaps I have. I have a base resume that has everything I’ve done with descriptions and I pull from that to create my resume for any job I apply for.

I’ll be honest with you there they need to get rid of AI in the hiring recruiting HR phase… they need to go back to old school.. pick up the phone go to the office and physically apply for the job

Shut the posting down after 1 day? In my experience, this first 24 hours are most all automated AI submissions. The result seems expected.

If you AI-slop the resume, sure. Probably it's easy to catch, they can reverse engineer the process. What I did was to create a master resume, 15 pages long, by giving a lot of info about me to Claude. I Went through it several times. Then I used Claude Code to create an app that uses 3 agents, takes the job description and gives me personalized CVs matching the job description, but based on my saved information, not just hallucinating. Then a quick review and some tweaks, and submit.

With mass applying, are there any prompts that maybe recruiters can do to pull potential matches for the JD before they post the roll? I would imagine this could cut down on the work that is done on the backend. They could have a targeted list and if that doesn’t work then post. Thoughts on that process?

How about having recruiters and HR “professionals” stop using Ai and ATS scanners…and then we won’t have to! I believe they are all just angry…because Ai levelled the playing field!

: So you have to match the job description to pass ATS but if you do it’s flagged as AI? This is why I ONLY apply to jobs where you’re emailing a person directly. I will not. Fill out an applicant profile. Yes… it’s limiting, but it’ll also help me find a company culture that fits my values. (Also a big fan of AI but too many people are using it to be lazy (job recruiters included)
