Tuna. Noodle. Casserole. The nostalgia! And with a CHIP topping?! This is probably the best tuna noodle casserole ever. Forget canned soup, it’s too easy to make this sauce from scratch. Super creamy, herby, and a little lemony with nice big chunks of the best tuna ever @Wild Planet Foods, a blanket of melty fontina and a borderline irresponsible amount of kettle chips on top – she’s classic, but she’s ✨elevated✨. You guys have seen me use Wild Planet like a million times so you probably know all about it by now, but JIC you don’t, it’s amazing. Great quality – a tuna steak cooked just once in the (bpa-free) can, with only its natural juices inside (which you can absolutely use and should). It’s also pole-and-line caught, which means it’s not only sustainable, but the fish they’re catching are smaller, so they’re naturally going to be lower in mercury. And this particular species of tuna (Skipjack) is smaller and doesn’t live as long, so it’s especially low in mercury. Quality ingredients are important in any recipe, and proteins are no exception! Speaking of recipes, it’s linked in my bio. Also, can we just take a second to recognize that canned tuna transitions extraordinarily well from sandwich season to casserole season? She’s ✨evergreen✨. PS you may have noticed that mushrooms were not invited to this party and that is 100% bc of my husband so you can blame him if you feel so inclined. 🙃 #wildplanetfoods #wildplanetrecipe #sustainableseafood #gowild
