I know I might get hate for this, but my wake up call was my DUI. I had gotten sober from meth 3 years prior, took up drinking to deal with the nightmares from meth detox. wound up like her drinking 750 ml daily. late last year I started drinking and driving (for about a month-month and a half). went to go meet up with some friends one night after drinking, didnt even make it 2 minutes down the street before I crashed. Blew 3x over the limit. I am in a court mandated program now, going to the classes, passing my drug tests, got my license back after 6 months. I will never drink and drive again, and I am going to remain sober

a 1.75L of vodka lasted me 2 maybe 3 days and I drank also for 3 years straight. I hated living like this, but I'm 57 days sober now and my liver doesn't hurt so much. I had to medically detox, rehab was sooo helpful thank God for Canadian healthcare😭

My dads been a drinker since the moment he was born, he's never been able to fully quit but has come a LONG way. I remember growing up he would get soooo sick if he didnt have a beer and I hated seeing him that way

I get it. I was a fent, Xanax, alcoholic. Quit the fent, got on methadone, got off the bars, could not stop the alcohol. 10 years I drank a handle every two days, mom died, handle a day for a year and a half. 24 seizures, 3 day coma, pancreas basically doesn’t exist, got diabetes from it while underweight, kidneys were failing, etc…2 years sober next month
