As a millennial growing up divorce wasn’t a thing. When my parents got divorced when I was 8 I was the weird kid. It’s crazy how normal it is today.

I don’t think that’s how it works, isn’t the divorce rate relative to how many people are married? So even if the percentage of marriages are low, the divorce rate could still technically be high?

Idk I feel like a lot of ppl still get married Willy nilly, I know like 7 people from high school who are already married or engaged (I’m 20) and I can only see two of those couples not getting divorced eventually.

I think being married is important if you are with the person you want to be with forever, but at the same time it really just depends relationship to relationship. I’m an elder Gen Z and my husband is a baby millennial lol

that's not how it works, if the relationship isnt a marriage it isnt factored into the divorce rates. there will still be marriages and marriages will still fail at approximately the same rate, though I do agree marriage rates will fall its not a factor in divorce rates

I know there are statistics, I’ve seen both sides though. Someone my age married and literally divorced a year later 🤷♂️I’ve also seen the other side of it too though lol
