They make freezer alarms if it stops working or the temp goes up too high. I would look into one so it doesn’t happen again. So sorry that this happened to you

Check with neighbors if there were any power surges. If so your service provider may be liable. The same thing happened to us and I got a new fridge and the total of all the meat in the freezer.
