Mediatokers largely believe that literary elements are objective and can be properly identified pertaining to a certain level of media literacy. This is just inherently false, mostly due to the fact that author intent and readers perception are actively working with one another to comprehend a story, which makes it entirely subjective since the authors works may resonate with others with differing perceptions. It’s not a matter of media literacy, because ultimately, author intent isn’t the defining factor for a piece of media. The reason as to why I think fictional media is the zenith of human creation is because of its subjectivity and various interpretations. This video directly calls attention to these people who are attempting to make objective criticisms on media, in this case it’s dragon ball and goku and the video is directly stating that the people who enjoy dragon ball don’t car about others opinions because their enjoyment is their own.
