The "2008 Fixies" refers to the original, canceled concept of The Fixies (Фиксики), which began as a test pilot for a feature-length film. Inspired by Eduard Uspensky's book The Little Warranty People, this early iteration was ultimately abandoned but later evolved into the massive, globally recognized STEM-focused animated franchise. The 2008 Concept Original Vision: The creators initially envisioned a 3D animated movie and series featuring 12 Fixies and a dog. The Plot: In the test material, a scientist invents a "Hat-o-port," a device meant to let Fixies slip away from humans by traveling directly through electrical wires. Cancellation: The original project was shelved in 2008 due to the financial crisis.
