@laurenashleystudios: There are so many moments that never make it to social media. You see the weddings, the travel, the business, the opportunities, and the highlights. What you don’t always see are the moments behind closed doors. The tears. The fear. The weight that comes with trying to carry it all. I think I may be experiencing telogen effluvium for the third time. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a type of hair shedding that can happen after significant physical or emotional stress. I’ve been through it twice before, and I know how devastating it can feel. Success doesn’t make you immune to stress. It doesn’t make you immune to fear. Behind every “I’ve got this” is still a human being trying to figure life out. What made this moment different wasn’t that the fear disappeared. It was that I didn’t have to carry it by myself. Mike didn’t try to solve it. He held me, reminded me we’d get through it together, and loved me exactly the same in one of my most vulnerable moments. I don’t know what the next few months will look like, and I have an appointment with my doctor to find out what’s going on. But I do know how incredibly grateful I am to have someone who chooses to stand beside me when life gets hard. Sometimes love isn’t fixing the problem. It’s making sure you don’t face it alone. 🤍
