Wait what’s wrong with being Muslim and feminism. I thought feminism meant equal rights for both genders.

John :
Humanity is not built solely on logical consistency and reason. There is not just reason and folly, or reason and instinct, there is - very reductively - humanity which is partly human intelligence which is partly rationality. Part of humanity is the building and maintaining of functional societal and personal structures; the set of functional structures buildable and maintainable given current constraints & risks is not only a subset of the set of consistent structures, in fact there may be no overlap at all.

People lie to themselves because any immediate change in mindset is scary. It might be they’re scared others wont accept the truth they’ve found. It might be they’re scared no one will understand them anymore. But what’s more important than knowing deep down that you are right? Who actually cares if others around you choose to remain ignorant. Just stay upon the truth, it’s better for your heart

In the other vid, you presented an impossible to test hypothetical and then treated your conclusion as proven. If, as you said in a reply to another comment under this vid, it’s “baseless” to claim the person would feel something is wrong, then it’s equally baseless to claim they wouldn’t. The only thing your thought experiment actually shows is that someone raised in total isolation wouldn’t have the concepts or language of “man,” “woman,” or “transgender.” It doesn’t tell us whether an underlying gender identity could exist. It only tells us they wouldn’t have the framework to recognize or describe it.

Lord Baiter von Monaco III :
Look, if someone is properly indoctrinated, they won’t change their position no matter what you say. That’s why it’s no point arguing with religious people, gender ideologists and hard-left wingers. Their ideology is part of their identity, and conceding anything feels like self destruction.

you had me until the transgender argument. your argument was based on a faulty premise and you didn't even know the full extent of what you were talking about

is a man not colorblind if he is born to a village where everything is painted in black and white? If upon seeing a world of color that causes him to realize the issue was what do the original case do to invalidate this. We have actual brain scan data diagnosing differences in trans people, and just because an issue presents itself only in society context doesn't negate it because society is real. You misunderstood everybody saying it didn't matter because you didn't understand how to look past your bias. Why would you expect a gender mismatch in a world without gender??

Seen your video, it’s a fallacious argument, you take the entire point of a social construct and change everything then ask as if it’s relevant, it doesn’t highlight anything about trans, it only highlights your lack of understanding of the topic

I'll give you an argument that doesn't have inconsistent logic. 500 years ago, people didn't know about autism. Does this mean autism didn't exist? No, they just wouldn't know what it is. So, if a boy only existed in an all male society, could they be transgender? Yes, they just wouldn't know what it is.

Tealeaf :
the fact that it would never happen is relevant when talking about social constructs driven fenomena. Sure, if gender norms did not exist you could not be trans, but they do and they inform our perception of ourselves and the world around us. At best you could claim that the physical change part of being trans can't be there from birth, but the psychological comes from a discrepancy between your Natural self and the way the world wants to perceive you, which in turn makes wanting your body to reflect who you are all the more natural. There is no contradiction here, it's just called nuance
