I talked to Mr Dallas and I believe he’s very responsible on pay, if you know half what you think you do.

Guy I worked for last 2 years paid me $25 an hour I got no 1a, all I know is basic daily maintenance cant weld etc, but was always willing to learn, but I basically ran everything, except the drills main truck driving i did was if i was working in the yard during seeding and had to load a semi etc I was content enough with my wage based on my experience

Dallas I think you’re wrong on this one. If you hire a retired farmer that knows anything about farming you can teach him in less than a week and 90 percent of the time will be the best you ever hired.

I’d probably pay the guy that ran a 7720 more. He’s a true operator not a button pusher

Edenville@1063 :
Dallas your correct I see in the comments that some people are talking about six figure salaries. But on a farm that means you are a responsible self motivated employee/ manager type worker who does what is required at all times and banks his or her holidays around the busy seasons and has mechanical skills and knowledge of chemical and skills that can compensate for less skilled seasonal workers who are not caring the same responsibilities that they have to to maintain their job status

Pay ain’t the problem it’s the hours you expect them to work. Nobody needs to work excessively to make you rich. Problem is greed in grain farming, coming from a cattle man
