i'm old school and when I started living here in NYC it was a culture shocker for me that men (teenagers or young adults) don't do that for anyone. When I did, people were quite surprised, I thought it wasn't a big deal to do that cause that's my culture from back home but then realized that no one does that or that is very rare.
