Also please consider this for the main story: MC had to find a way to EVER. Valko could have been her ticket into it. Out of the advertising videos published about him it is clear he knows how to hunt in the N109 Zone. We also already met a half-animal-hybrid: Viper. So Valko could be like him. Closing a gap between Caleb and Ever. What does Caleb have? A chip and a metal arm…just saying Valko as Tech with metal Evol could have been a solution for Caleb’s problems. Also this whole „scent over you“ thing could also be if EVER use hybrids like guard dogs. She has to get through them smelling different and on the side of one. Valko was the key. If I’m not mistaken her smell was mentioned a few times from Viper. Just a theory but he fits PERFECTLY into the already established story. His missing would not just change what comes next but also what was already written. Also of course he was there since the beginning or at least since 2023. If you write a story that complex you can’t just take away a sixth of the concept.
