Let’s not forget about the flyers franchise. They have 💰 💰. The offer sheet is heavily front loaded. Reports say he is owed 39 million with bonuses the first year. Anaheim ownership may not be able to afford or want to pay. The flyers in my opinion is a team in desperate need of a 1c. Briere has been gm for just over 3 years. He has moved a lot of bad contracts out and slowly rebuilt with a good prospects. With the addition of Carlsson they have a very solid group of forwards and there top 6 can be top 5 in the league. As wells as a good defensive core and possibly some of the best goalie tandem. The team plays with structure and this team plays with identity. Now on paper this team can be right behind hurricanes in the metro division. I really think the flyers are a sneaky good team. Where most fans will be how did this team get this good?

Gauthier could realistically sit out if the offer isn't right. You cant see a 21 year old Carlsson get 18 per and think that you arent worth that when you are 22 and just scored 41 goals.
