Nothing like showing up to work and it’s hotter than the devil’s behind in the place, expected to perform at 100% for your 8-16hr shift, and nothing to reward you but a nice half frozen squencher sqweeze popsicle and a partially cold water (if you’re lucky)

bro i definitely relate to this i work 3rd shift at the nissan plant and its so exhausting 😭 always tired and irritated no family time barely except when we have shutdowns twice a year currently on summer shutdown and dont wanna go back next week machines are gonna run like crap 😞 which means stressful night for me

I worked at Tyson on 2nd shift for about a year and this is extremely accurate. Overtime is nice, but those 6X10s ain’t no joke. 3pm-1:30am is a long ass time!

Factory life can take its toll. Working 2nd shift can be draining as well. Doing 10 hours and getting out at 1:30 am just to have to be up early the next day. Also the concrete floors can take its toll on your feet too

Summer is our busy months, and also when it’s hottest while we have no ac in the building. The days where I just get out to my car with the ac on full blast for like 10 minutes to get back to normal is almost everyday, it’s definitely rough 😭😭😭

Factory maintenance for 15 years. Its the noise, the heat, the management, constantly running from call to call.... the burnout is real. I don't do that anymore though. Now I'm my own boss, make my own schedule and work from home.... in a button down shirt, gym shorts and house shoes 😂😂

I sit outside at the park at 5 am after work to just enjoy quiet and nothing but the fountain water. The beeping and slamming of stuff is so overwhelming for 11 hours.
