If somebody actually wants cooking tech that is generally disability friendly (if pretty expensive) go look at the thermomix. It's not for everyone, but there's a lot of quiet safety features that don't make you feel like it's all toddler locked, and it isn't particularly difficult to use.

To say it’s just flat out not disability friendly, isnt correct. It may not suit every single disability but there are many that it would be a solution for. I saw a creator on here who is a caretaker for her autistic brother, and she was excited by it as it could be a solution for him to be more independent. Posha actually sent them one, and asked they give feedback on so for future models they can make it even more disability friendly.

Hi Zoe, we haven't actively claimed we're building for the disability community. What happened is we started getting a lot of comments from the community because they saw Posha solving a real problem for them. That's pushed us to work more closely with them to understand how to build it better for them. Cooking has two parts: prep and cooking. Posha solves the cooking part, which is still the harder part for a lot of people. On the product itself, we're an AI hardware product company and multiple systems need to work together to get a dish right every time. We've built everything from scratch to get there. Our AI sees and cooks the food and we hope to run it locally on the device in the future. So with or without connectivity, you'll still have a working machine. The phone app is a companion, not a dependency. Think of it like a security camera app: useful, but the hardware works on its own. It took us 8 years to get here and we plan to keep building cooking products for kitchens around the world. We get the skepticism but we can't wait to prove you wrong! as a disabled person, I find prep easier than standing at the stove. I can sit at my table and prep. I don't expect companies to discount for disabilities bc that's not their target market. I absolutely could not afford this machine but dreams are free lol. the AI part and the fact that they could take away recipes is the only hiccup in my mind.
