@dr_inna: As an immigrant, 4th of July has always mattered to me. We were lucky to have an option to come to the U.S. when we had to become refugees, and we are grateful to be here. There is a contradiction in how the U.S. treats immigrants now and how many people still hope to come here. I think it’s tied to a promise that the U.S. is failing to meet in reality for most of its people now. Yet the flags are waving and the songs are playing… This NASA-themed dress is as patriotic as my outfit is going to get, this year.
