I met Robert when I was 16, I’m 51 now, in Newport South Wales. He was playing with Suicidal Tendencies back then, we went on the ST tour bus with my mate who was doing an interview for his zine. My mate did his interview whilst I sat across from Rob smiling in awe! Very surreal, at the end of the interview with me having said nothing. I blurted out “can I have something to remember this?” I was expecting a Plectrum, but Rob smiled and said “I don’t have anything” there was a bowl of fruit on the table in front of us. “You can have an orange if you want!” I declined! lol my 16 year old brain!! In hindsight I should have had the orange. But what a great guy.
