This same thing happened to us with my son on family vacation in March! He is also 2, we were also walking with a group of us similar to that to/from dinner because it was close to our air b&b. I am always helicopter over him and paranoid because he is so quick, it all happened so fast and thinking about it still gets me. So glad we had someone looking over us!

I’m glad she’s ok. It’s scary when little ones are mobile and are able to be free of the stroller. They are so fast. I’m sure that she just wanted to keep up with her sister and cousins but I don’t blame y’all for being scared

my sister got hit by a city truck when she was about 3. We're 10 years apart and we were walking to the bus stop and I had her hand and she let go so quick to chase our brother across the street. She ended up being completely fine, but I learned young how quick how kids can be.

This is why I was a leashed child 😂 no shame in leashing a kid when safety is a concern 💟 I’d rather get looked at weird having a kid attached to me, vs having a kid schmucked on the road!

When I was pregnant with my now 7yr old my now 10yr old was 2 turning 3 at the time and I had my gender reveal at a fenced in park there’s only one entrance/exit. I went to take something to the car and 2 people said they would watch him well I got a random feeling to turn around and I do and I see him running out of the park right for the busy street I book it after him and legit caught him in mid air jumping off the curb into the road. Toddlers are so quick

I’ve had family tell me I’m “overprotective” of my toddler (2) son but I’ve had something like this almost happen in a grocery store parking lot. We were good the entire time and he knows to stay next to the cart but he randomly booked it and ran towards the intersection 😫 so scary but I definitely don’t feel bad hovering sometimes 😭 thankfully I stopped him before getting into the main part but a car drove by a few seconds after

Last summer my brand new 3yo and I were at a new tiny ice cream place waiting on my sister. We’re waiting in line and it’s just like a walk up counter. The road next to us is a pretty busy road. My daughter was dancing in circles around me. I didn’t have her hand bc she was inches from me. I went to grab her hand so we could scoot up in line. My daughter instinctively took off running into the road. Thankfully all the cars had just gone so nothing happened but I was terrified. I was newly pregnant with my 2nd and was convinced I couldn’t handle both kids. Fast forward a year later and I’m constantly out and about with both kiddos and everyone is safe
