@purascans: Ziploc and Glad containers are polypropylene and polyethylene — the same plastics that shed up to 4.22 million microplastic and 2.11 billion nanoplastic particles from a single square centimeter after 3 minutes in the microwave (Environmental Science & Technology, 2023). "Microwave-safe" only means it won't melt — it was never a test for what sheds into your food, and those particles are now turning up in human placentas, brain tissue, and artery plaque.
