It's probably THE MOST socialist program we have. Our military does not produce or sell anything. It's fully funded by the tax payer, and is a huge part of our annual budget.

Everyone saying “you work for it” like civilians aren’t also working? Y’all get paid AND you get free housing/healthcare/college that’s funded by taxes. It’s similar to socialism, obviously not an exact one for one. No one is saying the work you’re doing isn’t hard and shouldn’t be rewarded, two things can be true at once.
