This is one of the best studio ghibli films to show extra young children/toddlers (speaking as a mom) because there are no overtly heavy themes and the characters genuinely respect each other. There are no scary enemies, the sisters/parents believe in each other. It's so pure. It really is the definition of cottagecore -- 2 sisters running around the countryside playing and interacting with magical forest creatures ✨️
