This argument is flawed for one reason. Even if its off by one, it will appear on an infinite list because every possible combination already exists including said diagonal name. There would simply be a point where they intersect.

this is better explained with numbers than this analogy so let me explain it. if you have infinate integers it is infinate, but if you just have all infinate numbers with infinate decimals the decimals has more options. like in between one and two there could be infinate decimal options even if there is infinate numbers if you count up with just whole numbers

isnt this just an organization problem? theres always rooms filling because of the infinite people but theres also infinite rooms. the simplest but maybe not the easiest is to tell everyone with a room to put an “occupied” sign outside of their room, then tell any new guests to take a room without this sign
