✨Day 5 of 12 Days of DIY✨ Need a tree topper? You can DIY this Pressed Tin Star Tree Topper in under an hour and the result is pure handmade holiday magic. 🎄🫶🏼 The secret to that “pressed tin” textured look? Firmly tracing the design over the brass foil sheet! What You Need: • Brass metallic foil sheet (found at most craft stores) • Pressed Tin Star Tree Topper Template from my Instagram (two layers are key for the 3D look) • Candle Fitter Wax (works so well!) • 1/4” brass strip for tree cone To get the FREE printable template I made, head to this DIY on Instagram, comment STAR, and make sure you’re following me there to get the link! Bonus! I added a second, more complex Art Deco-style top layer star to the template for those who want to try something a bit fancier! Tip on Foil: The foil is out of stock online at the moment, but you can usually find it at craft stores! If you’re searching online, look for anything between 0.05mm and 0.1mm thick that’s at least 300mm wide - it will work great! I still linked all the supplies I used in my Instagram stories though! Quick DIY Steps: 1. Trace and cut out your two star layers from the brass foil. 2. Trace firmly over the pattern lines again (front and back) to create the “pressed” texture. 3. Bend the brass strip into a spiral for the tree cone. 4. Assemble the layers using my hack: candle fitter wax! Now tell me, are you a star or an angel person for your tree topper? Let me know!
