In August 2022, before the GST increase, I paid $7.90 for a Teriyaki Chicken Chop via GrabFood delivery from a neighbourhood eatery. Fast forward to September 2024, after the GST hike, I paid $8.90 for the exact same meal, from the exact same eatery, delivered to me by GrabFood. That’s an increase of more than 12%—not the 2% we were told to expect.

Cross border taxis too expensive! From Larkin bus terminal to Bedok used to be $60. Now $100. WHY? Mostly passengers are Singaporean. Do not benefits Singapore taxi drivers as less and less passenger. Who does the price increase benefits? Malaysian taxi?
