Stop Breaking Walls Like a Beginner! Software Used: Blender 5.1.2 Extra Tips: - The Cell Fracture tool is a built-in add-on. Make sure to enable it first by going to Edit - Preferences - Add-ons and searching for "Cell Fracture". - It is absolutely mandatory to Apply Scale (Ctrl+A) to all objects participating in a Rigid Body simulation to avoid calculation errors. - When changing settings (like setting the Rigid Body to Active), holding 'Alt' while clicking applies that change to all selected objects simultaneously. Otherwise, it only affects the active object. - When linking animation from one cell to others, ensure the keyframed cell is your active object. Otherwise, the linking process will fail. - To quickly select all fractured pieces, simply right-click the "Cells" collection in the Outliner and choose "Select Hierarchy". Since you grouped them there during the Cell Fracture process, this saves a lot of time. - While the Circle Select tool is active, use the middle mouse button to deselect objects. - If Rigid Body chains are snapping apart, the Collision Margin might be set too high. Alternatively, it could be a mass imbalance, such as a wrecking ball being far too heavy while the individual chain links lack sufficient mass to hold it. - Blender’s physics system can occasionally bug out. If the Rigid Body simulation behaves erratically despite correct settings, removing and re-adding the Rigid Body World can often resolve the issue. - For more realistic destruction, re-fracture some of the larger cells into smaller pieces. Assign an Active Rigid Body to them and link the animation data from your already prepared cells. #blender #blender3d #animation #physics #cg #3d
