I didn’t think I’d have to explain this, but some people are missing the point. This video isn’t attacking Golden Retrievers, and it isn’t defending or attacking Pit Bulls either. People in my real life kept asking if Loki was attacked by pit bulls. he was attacked by Golden Retrievers. That’s the only reason I made the video. The message is simple: no breed is automatically aggressive, and no breed is automatically incapable of aggression. Genetics, responsible breeding, training, socialization, environment, and the individual dog all play a role. I’m blaming the circumstances that led to these dogs’ behavior, not an entire breed.

People love to blame the breed, but ANY dog is capable of doing some real damage. When I was 10 my golden got in a fight with a stray pit-mix that approached us on a walk, and he won. We both made it home unharmed bc of him

I think the owners of German shepherds, pitbulls or other "dangerous" breeds are just more responsible and train them well, while golden retriever owners just watched too many movies about the American dream and family, knowing nothing about training your dog. Also, a golden retriever ripped my dachshund's ear off when I was a kid. When my parents confronted the owner, she just said that her dog would never hurt a fly and she lets it walk around without even a basic supervision
