A golden retriever literally ripped my childhood chihuahua stomach open in front of my eyes. Its owner watched and actually purposely let go of its leash and I had to try to pry my dog from its mouth while he watched and smiled. I’m pretty sure the owner was a sociopath…. I went to school with him and he and his family were just…. So weird…

Don’t even get me started MY PITBULL was literally ripped to shreds by two other dog breeds completely smaller than her all because she was raised as a sweetheart and literally she tried to run from them and they were raised as savages we need to stop generalized breed hate and just hate the fuckin owner!!!!

A golden retriever ripped my brother ear off when he was 3 and severely gashed his skull and back !!!!! the scars were so deep that even after a year if you touched them they would bust open guess what ?!?! they did not kill that fucking dog !!!! But if a pit even looks at your wrong it’s over for them

People love to blame the breed, but ANY dog is capable of doing some real damage. When I was 10 my golden got in a fight with a stray pit-mix that approached us on a walk, and he won. We both made it home unharmed bc of him

Goldens are so random with choosing their personalities. I have a golden and he thinks his life is going to end every time he walks past my box fan. But our old neighbors two goldens killed my grandparents dog

my husky was attacked by a golden retriever and I was stuck in the room with the fight. The golden tried ripping out my dogs throat. I was absolutely terrified because I was I think 15-16 at the time, and I don't regret kicking that golden retriever several times to try getting it away and save my dog. I now don't like Golden retrievers because of this

no cause as a dog owner of a "non aggressive breed" if she attacked another dog unprovoked and caused it to need serious surgery. I would be paying the vet bills and having my dog put down. I SAID WHAT I SAID.

I think the owners of German shepherds, pitbulls or other "dangerous" breeds are just more responsible and train them well, while golden retriever owners just watched too many movies about the American dream and family, knowing nothing about training your dog. Also, a golden retriever ripped my dachshund's ear off when I was a kid. When my parents confronted the owner, she just said that her dog would never hurt a fly and she lets it walk around without even a basic supervision
