Yea cool, but we are all adults they should know how to communicate. Talk. Idk how much of an anxious or avoidant someone is, learning to see people for who they are and respect how each other feels is good. But they have to meet each other somewhere. Feel how you feel but get it together in a timely manner and learn to be there for each other in the way they each other need. I don’t want to fix, but I don’t want to be dragged along and ignoring my own feelings and needs.

He called me back but I was working on my project but I returned the call when I was done. I left a text to let him know I called.. he called me back and I asked him last night if he needed time to decompress from work and cooking.. we don’t live together.. but he was willing to talk we stayed on the phone for hours having a discussion.. nothing about what I’m feeling more so him just telling me he needs space and how his mind works. He’s pretty intelligent but he thinks he’s communicating effectively and he knows his tone and attitude is harsh.. I just don’t know if he can understand and change that. But I must say he is coming around after 3 years. He’s learning from me and I’m learning from him.. it’s not for the weak but it’s doable.. I used to always says how is it that two ppl who love each other just can’t get it right..

I’ve been so understanding with mine. Given him his time and space. Going on over 90+ days since I’ve physically seen him. Only a handful of messages. One of those conversations was after finding out about his flirting with some via text and etc. I have past trauma too and for so long I’ve been navigating this all around his trauma. He said he didn’t want to to lose me. I said ok and since I don’t want a traditional relationship I said ok I will continue to respect your space but I need to know that you will care and respect what I need as well. So I told him he has 2 weeks for his space and if by week 3 he hasn’t done the work to really acknowledge me then that’s it I am gone. No reminders no goodbyes just gone. All I have ever asked was please if it’s been like 3 weeks or so just send me at least an emoji saying you’re good. Something to calm my head and help my peace. So we’ll see what he does.

I’m very empathetic in understanding my avoidant. I’ve been so patient for so long and he blocked me 3 weeks ago after he told me that he’d rather be single; only because I asked him why he didn’t call or text me back after leaving me messages on read all day? I feel like the treatment from an avoidant is distance when things are going well; as well as when they are upset. There’s no winning with them. They pull away in good times and bad. Life is too short to be ignored by the person that you want to LOVE!
