If the logic is that every American created data which contributed to the creation of AI, then so did every other person in the world who used the Internet. What about the rest of the world? If we accept the initial premise, then the US stole data from every person on earth, used it to create something and is now giving money derived from that to its citizens.

Open AI is bankrupt with no viable business model. It is worth pennies on the dollar. If Trump does the deal it is because he is heavily influenced by the tech lobby, not because it is a good deal.
