As the child is 11 years old (not yet having reached the full age of 12), they cannot be prosecuted or penalized under laws concerning the protection of children and youth. 2. The child has a brain abnormality and a pre-existing medical condition, which are clearly documented. While we also seek justice for the deceased monk, the law does not permit any legal proceedings to be initiated.

The boy did not intentionally kill the monks. Monks are incredibly revered and held in very high honor in Thailand. The child has a brain disability, he is not being held accountable because he clearly didn’t do it intentionally.

Info on the event everyone in the comments is speaking on: because the 11yo boy with special needs stole his dads car for a "Joy-Ride" and then was reportedly swerving in the road and when getting near to the monks he lost control and let go then driving STRAIGHT into the Monks. 5 died on scene 4 more in hospital 3 in deadly conditions and one of those 3 died about 20h ago in hospital aswell and the rest as well as that followers are now in the hospital with critical injuries
