@jrexplains: What exactly is a neutron star. how does it form, and what makes them special? #TikTokCreatorSearchInsightsIncentive #whatisaneutronstar #Science #edutokcontest #learnontiktokcontest
so, in theory; there might be a strange compressed material Inside the black hole? since the black hole's weight prevents the former materials from neutron star from evaporating

fun fact, this is the only known natural way for iron to form. every single atom of iron was formed via supernovae

I know the answer is probably no, but do we know anything about the physics of what’s behind the event horizon? Like what states of matter are in there? Do objects with mass approach the speed of light when entering one? Is everything pulled into the singularity at the speed of light once past the event horizon? How does it make sense that black holes have mass? Is the mass all in the singularity? Must a singularity be infinitely dense or is it just possible that it shapes gravity to a point where it’s perfectly aligned with light so once anything gets to the horizon it doesn’t actually go any further? Do the fundamental particles completely lose their shape? Like if all of the protons and neutrons etc. are squished so close would any information be distinguishable? I have so many questions, black holes are so interesting lol!

Slight caveat, neutron stars that shoots gamma beams are called quazars but ones that point towards earth are called blazars.

and it all happens thanks to the fundamental fields at play. so cool to think everything works due to those interactions

I like the theory that the singularity never forms but instead becomes a plank star

I'm still not sure I understand how degeneracy pressure relates to what we think of as the fundamental forces. it doesn't appear to be composed of any fundamental forces, nor does it appear to be related to any particular force carrying particle, yet (to the best of my knowledge) it is clearly exerting a force that is balances out by gravity

remember, gravity isn't a force it's the distortion of space and time. 😁
