I work at a camp in northbrook and some of the kids in my group and on my bus were at the parade and I made sure on the bus if they needed to talk about it they were allowed to have time with me to get their feelings out

i moved to downtown highland park from the south suburbs last year and you can genuinely feel the collective pain surrounding the holiday. it's so sad. truly a strong lovely community

I worked for a company in highland park, I was going to take my kids to the parade. We got lazy and decided to stay home. Never been so grateful to have missed an event. Now if I feel lazy, I don’t go. I don’t force myself to. I take it as a sign that once it *possibly* saved my children.
