@drdavidmorris: Could your "back pain" actually be your SI joint? Low back pain isn't always caused by a disc problem. An often-overlooked joint in the pelvis, called the sacroiliac (SI) joint, can sometimes produce symptoms that closely resemble lumbar spine pain. Because these conditions may feel similar, understanding the source of pain is an important part of choosing the most appropriate treatment. This video explains why identifying the pain generator matters and why persistent symptoms deserve a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional. 💬 Have you ever discovered your pain was coming from somewhere completely different than you expected? #SIjoint #lowbackpain #backpain #pelvicpain #jointpain #functionalmedicine #mobility #spinehealth #paineducation #murfreesboro #magnoliamedicalcenter #rootcause #fyp #viral
I have SI joint pain on my left side. It’s very frustrating. Sometimes it is hyper mobile and sometimes it doesn’t move enough. I’ve had pain in my left hip and a lot of pain in my back. The only thing that helps is physio dry needling to relax the tight muscles, chiropractor and weight training, dead lifts and planks always make it feel better. I had PRP injections which helped for about 9 months but the pain came back.

So how is it determined if its hypo or hyper mobility of the SI joint and how do you fix it if its hypo mobile?

Why does the patient have to study their anatomy like they are in med school just to get proper care from their providers?

Dr Arthur A Michele 1967 is the reason I walk run lift weights. I was born without a hip socket I was one of the first 15 to have bone grafting. The Saltier Method. His focus was on exercising for the sacroiliac. He was before his time. He wrote a book.

SI joint pain is worse than sciatica. I’ve had both, Dr gave me injections into the joint to diagnose it.

This is exactly what I’ve been dealing with for two years. Been to specialist. Had MRI’s. And it was my PCP that said it sounded like my SI and he put me in an anti inflammatory. It helps a lot but could only take it a few weeks. Now my pain is back.

How does one determine if you are hypomobile or hypermobile? Is there a way to test for this at home? I have done two rounds of pt with different providers, mri, x ray, other, no relief. Since January!
