saying it wont crash is crazy, its shiny cardboard it holds no actual value and generates no value, it lives and breathes on a fools falacy, if someone is not willing to pay then its not worth anything. Once we see a severe dip and the less experienced collectors or just scalpers confidence in the cards crumble then the market will collapse at least for modern sets

I disagree - I think there will be a 20-30% pullback which I would consider a crash. The current market prices aren’t sustainable. People will stop buying and demand will go down.

In Japan rn. If you’re going for higher end or cards 100$+ they’re gonna be closer to market but most other cards under that you can find pretty cheap. So ofc it’s not gonna be worth it for jake who in my personal opinion is a bit out of touch from the normal everyday collectors

big disagree! I went last year and found amazing deals at hareruya and book off. Their discounted sections are amazing and I even found decent cards in the bulk sections ✋️

I remember in the middle of 2024, I could buy basically any nice modern SIR in a PSA 10 on eBay for under $300. I walked into my local EB Games or what you guys would call GameStop, and picked up 2 25th anniversary premium collection boxes for retail price, and the Charizard sword and shield premium collection box. The card I blame for all of this is the Moonbreon, hearing people starting to talk about how this card is worth like $600 if you pull it, and then everyone buying that, and then people buying all the prismatic because it had all the eeveelutions in it and people were like well if that cards worth that much, than maybe these cards will be worth that too. And when 151 came out I was able to complete my master set and I'd go into stores and see product there and be like "I'm not paying $40 for that when it only gives 4 packs and a promo card, the booster bundle box gives 7 packs for the same price"

PHilippine community is growing by the day. 10-20yrs back the tcg player community is less than 500 players. Mostly collectors but now, we have over 10 fb groups ranging from 15k members to 100k+ members.

When I was in Japan you couldn’t get rid of American cards because no one was interested so they sold cheap. It makes sense because in America that’s how we pretty much treat their cards

Facts they’re very aware and especially with tourist, I was just there for the 30th. But there was a few exceptions and I went to a LOT of shops haha. Wish I had went years ago
