KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

🦞 2026 CRAWFISH SEASON UPDATE. THE SEASON IS NOT OVER YET! We are past peak crawfish season, but live crawfish are still coming in, supplies are not currently limited, and we are still shipping. 🌾 SOME FARMS ARE BEGINNING TO DRAIN Many farms are starting to drain their ponds, including some of our own. This is normal as farmers prepare fields for rice, plant forage, or get ponds ready for the next crawfish crop. But draining does NOT mean live crawfish season is over. Some ponds are still producing well, and farmers will keep trapping as long as the catch and quality make sense. 🌿 WILD-CAUGHT CRAWFISH MATTER MORE As farm-raised production slows, wild-caught crawfish can become a bigger part of late-season supply. The Atchafalaya Basin and other natural waterways operate differently from managed ponds. River levels, rainfall, water movement, temperature, and water quality all affect production. Parts of Louisiana received significant rainfall this June, including areas around the Atchafalaya Basin. That added water is encouraging for continued wild production and gives us reason to stay optimistic about the weeks ahead. 🦞 HOW ARE THE CRAWFISH LOOKING? Late-season crawfish are often more mature and may have firmer shells than earlier-season crawfish. Size, shell hardness, and peelability can vary as supply shifts between ponds and wild harvest areas. We grade each day’s catch and are continuing to receive good-quality live crawfish. Certain sizes may become less predictable later, but crawfish are currently available. ☀️ HOW MUCH LONGER WILL THE SEASON LAST? There is no exact date when crawfish season ends across Louisiana. Some ponds are draining, others are still producing, and wild areas can continue after many farms have finished. For now, the season is still going, supply is healthy, and we are still shipping live Louisiana crawfish. You still have time to get another boil in. We recommend ordering ahead as the season progresses, especially if you want a s
