Would you call this one a castle or a country house? I think I'm leaning towards country house for this. Although it has got turrets, so maybe it's a bit of both. The age of this house is pretty wild, it dates back to 1560. For reference, Mary Queen of Scots was the Queen of Scotland at the time. So that's pretty cool. I'd love to know who has stayed at this house, I wonder if Mary Queen of Scots did? Another interesting fact with this property, the river that runs through the gardens is the river Tyne. I'll be honest I didn't know it ran through Scotland. That would be pretty great having that in your back garden wouldn't it? #eastlothian #Scotland
