I feel ya, buddy. I still get freaked out by new sounds. I annoy the crap out of my family every time I hear something weird and ask them if that's a normal house sound because I'm terrified that one day it might actually be something dangerous

Wait I think the phrase not again please don’t cry should be reworded because it sounds a bit insensitive and like you’re over it maybe try saying I understand this is new and scary for you but we will get through it together and maybe offer to sit down with them and search videos for certain noises that could be triggering at first and ease them to it. The world isn’t the same for everyone but we can show Grace and patience towards one another
