I absolutely agree with you that the mentality we are raised with sets the stage for everything we do or want to do. I was raised the same way by my parents and although I’ve never been into gardening this summer I decided that I shall build a grassy playground for my kid in our backyard. Fast forward there is now an amazing garden corner with freshly grown and maintained grass waiting only for the toys to be put in place. It took me a couple days if research and a good will to learn. Keep up the good work with raising Winnie the way you were!
